Այս գրքում խոսվում է կյանքի պաշտպանության և միմյանց մասին հոգ տանելու հասարակական նորմերի՝ էվթանազիայի և ինքնասպանության օժանդակության արգելման մասին: Միջազգային իրավունքը խստորեն պաշտպանում է կյանքի իրավունքը՝ հատկապես առավել խոցելի խավերի համար: Եվրոպայում մի շարք օրենսդրական առաջարկներից բխող սպառնալիքը ընդգծվում է այն երկրների օրինակով, որոնք արդեն անցել են այս ճանապարհը։ Հետաքննությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ այն երկրներում, որտեղ էվթանազիան և ինքնասպանության օժանդակությունը օրինականացվում են, էվթանազիայի ենթարկված մարդկանց թիվն ավելանում է: Գիրքը եզրափակում է` հերքելով օրինականացման հաստատման հիմնական փաստարկները:

This book examines the phenomenon of 21st century surrogacy as a human rights violation, and, in studying regional and global trends, explores the options available to best protect the lives at stake. It will examine the argument that surrogacy in all its forms amounts to the sale of children and, as an emerging form of reproductive exploitation, is a driving factor in human trafficking.
The Legalization of Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide: An inevitable slippery slope
This paper makes the case for the protection of life and the societal norms of caring for one another through the prohibition of euthanasia and assisted suicide. International law robustly protects the right to life – particularly for the most vulnerable. The threat posed by a number of legislative proposals across Europe is highlighted through the example of those countries which have already gone down this road. The investigation shows that where euthanasia and assisted suicide are legalized, the number of people euthanized increase. The paper concludes by refuting the main arguments relied upon in support of legalization.
